Events & Community Impact
Where we have shown up, what we did, and the people we met along the way
Everett Boys & Girls Club Back-to-School Supply Drive
Mind Mission joined the Everett Boys & Girls Club Back-to-School Supply Drive to bring a little mental wellness into the start of the school year. Students, families, and community members stopped by our table to color, learn about Mind Mission, and participate in our "Take One, Leave One" activity, taking an encouraging message they needed and leaving one behind for someone else. Watching the board fill with messages from people of all ages was a simple but meaningful reminder of how far a little encouragement can go.
The event was especially meaningful because people of many different ages participated. We wanted the activities to show that mental wellness does not always have to begin with a serious or intimidating conversation. Sometimes something as small as writing a kind note for a stranger can help make the topic easier to approach.

What we did
Take One, Leave One
A board of encouraging sticky notes. Visitors took a message that resonated with them and wrote a new one for the next person, so the board slowly filled up over the course of the event.
Mindful Coloring
Mental-wellness and back-to-school coloring pages with supplies, so anyone could stop for a few minutes and take a small relaxing break.
Community Conversations
We talked with students, families, and community members about Mind Mission and our goal of making mental health conversations more approachable for young people.
School-Wide Mental Health Awareness Campaign
Our school-wide campaign is designed to meet students throughout their normal school day rather than asking them to seek us out. Posters, advisory slides, articles, and kindness cards put mental health resources into the places students already look.
The goal is to normalize the conversation. We want to increase awareness of what support exists, reduce the stigma around asking for it, and give students practical tools for managing stress and anxiety.
What we do
Poster Campaign
Posters with tear-off tabs linking to hotlines, coping strategies, and our website. Updated frequently with fresh topics.
Advisory Slides
Single-slide mental health messages for teachers to display during advisory period, with QR codes to resources.
Published Articles
Student-written articles on mental health topics, published on our website and in the JAG Bulletin every two weeks.
Social Media
Regular posts with mental health tips, educational content, and event announcements at @mindmissionorg.
Kindness Card Station
Pre-made cards with uplifting messages at lunch. Keep one for yourself or give it to a friend who needs support.
